Tanya has openings for house sits for homeowners from Thurs. April 19 to Thurs. May 9. Please contact her at or 250-538-0086.

Here are reference excerpts from homeowners who have recently had Tanya housesit for them:

“Tanya stayed at our house this past spring and cared for our three cats, our two younger cats (7 years old) and an elderly kitty, Luna (17 years old). We were apprehensive about leaving the older cat allow for a long period of time; however, we felt confident with Tanya, and she visited with us a couple times before we left and Luna was immediately comfortable with her. Tanya emailed regular updates to us and was very specific about the cat’s activities and eating habits. Upon our return, we found Luna to be in excellent health and relaxed. Our younger cats were equally healthy and happy. Tanya took care of our plants, gardens, and the security of our home. I would recommend Tanya and be happy to engage her in house sitting in the future.”
— Liberty,, housesat: May and June 2016

“I was delighted with Tanya’s care of my home and the relationship she established with my dog. Several of Tanya’s qualities impressed me. She is reliable, a good communicator, trustworthy and a loving person towards my dog. I would never hesitate to have Tanya stay at my home again. I am certain that if you are lucky enough to have Tanya stay at your home, you will be very satisfied.”
— S. Dann. Salt Spring Island, BC ph. 250-537-8895, housesat: 14 days in June & August, 2014 and April 2017 to May 1, 2017

“Tanya was very caring to the animals, taking the dog for two walks a day, giving her some medication in addition to her food, and making sure the cats and fish were fed. The animals really related to her well, and one of the cats slept with her (as they do with us). Gina the dog couldn’t wait to jump in the car with her and head for the park…Tanya kept the place tidy and cleaned the fridge. Our house was vacuumed and tidy when we returned, the animals were given a lot of attention and were happy.”
— K.S. after house sit in Saskatoon, Sask. for 2 weeks, June 2013

“Besides keeping very good care of our household and property, she did an excellent job looking after our two 19 year old cats. She contacted us weekly about their condition. When there was a problem about their eating, she suggested a change in diet, which we asked her to follow and things improved. It was obvious when we returned that she had formed a bond with each cat. They were well groomed and healthy looking…I have no hesitation in recommending Tanya as either a house-sitter or cat-sitter.”
— B.D. after house sit in Nelson, BC from mid-Aug. to mid-Oct. 2013, Christmas 2015/16

“I highly recommend Tanya as a house sitter and pet sitter. I have a very unique cat that, while healthy, is generally untrustful of strangers and not affectionate towards them. Tanya fit the bill perfectly, and treated her with care. She also sent me regular reports on their day-to-day happenings and generally just left me secure in the knowledge that all was well back home. Tanya was also very conscientious about care of my home, and left it as clean as she found it (which was very clean). She even replaced some items (ie dish soap) and made it very nice to come home. My many plants were watered and happy. She also took care to meet all of my requests about things around the house, such as being conservative with the heat.”
